STI Clinic Dublin-Genital warts and HPV
13, November 2014

Genital warts are very common and for the most part can be easily treated with many different options ranging from ablative therapy with liquid nitrogen to home treatment with creams. Sometimes other lesions that are not warts are misdiagnosed as such so an expert opinion is advised.

HPV is extremely common and although some strains have been linked to cervical/anal cancer it does not mean that if you have HPV you will get cervical/anal cancer. What is important is that you attend for cervical cancer screening as per the cervical screening programme (cervicalcheck.ie). We can provide this service along with expert advice at Himerus Health.
